Margaret Louise Brantley, 90, passed away peacefully in her home in Birmingham, AL, Thursday, December 22, 2022.
She was born January 22, 1932 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the daughter of Truman Floyd Williams and Margaret Pamelia (Goodwin) Williams.

She graduated from Norphlet High School in 1950. In May of that year she married John Dwight Rogers. She worked for many years as a book keeper at Carter’s Book Store, High Capacity and Garrett’s. She professed faith in Christ in her early 20’s and sought to faithfully follow her Savior throughout her life. She was a lifelong member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. In her later years she married Austin Brantley.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Austin Brantley, and her brother, Jimmie Dehn Williams.

She is survived by her brother and his wife, Don Gary and Edith Williams of Lewisville, TX, her son Truman D. Rogers, of Hot Springs Village, AR, her daughter Annette and her husband Monroe (Johnny) Johnson, three grandsons and their wives, Monroe (J) and Michelle Johnson, Benjamin and Bailey Johnson, Joel and Rhiannon Johnson, granddaughter Erin Elizabeth Johnson, and eight grandchildren, all of Birmingham AL. She also leaves behind her many special friends, cousins, nieces and nephews all of whom enriched her life.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1942 N Wyatt Drive, El Dorado, Arkansas. A memorial service is to follow at 11:00, with graveside service afterward at the Ebenezer-Burns Cemetery, Rev. Don Parks officiating, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
