POCOLA Thelma L. Dobson Resch, 88, of Pocola died Thursday, April 22, 2004, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker and member of Zion Baptist Church in Roland. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Amel Resch. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Hickory Ridge Cemetery in Lavaca. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Hudgins of Pocola; a son, Amel Resch of Spiro; two sisters, Almeda Umholt of Ozark and Dolly Newman of East Lancaster, Calif.; two brothers, Herbert Dobson of Arkoma and Clifford Dobson of Fort Smith; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Clyde Resch, Charles Howard, Ronnie Howard, Tommie Stratton, Archie Glen Czarnikow and Michael Clark. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
