Jeannie Morris McLelland, 96, of Rogers, AR, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, AR. She was born October 12, 1914, in W. Richwoods, AR, to Neal and Allie (Risner) Morris.

Mrs. McLelland was reared in Stone County, AR, graduated from Little Rock Central High and later attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR. She was a resident of Pine Bluff, AR, for almost 50 years before moving to Rogers, AR in 1997. She was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and was also a life member of the Bess Jenkins Garden Club.

She is survived by three sons, Bob and Sandy McLelland of Ooltewah, TN; John and Kathryn McLelland of Lowell, AR; Dick and Candy McLelland of Port Royal, SC; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McLelland is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. McLelland, whom she married on December 20, 1941; her parents; two sisters, Lillie Mays, Mae Morris, and two brothers, Jimmy Driftwood and A. J. Morris.

A funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the Roller-Coffman Funeral Home Chapel, Mountain View, AR. Jeannie’s grandsons, Rob McLelland and Jarrett McLelland will be officiating; Chanika McLelland will be providing music. Burial will be at a later date in Roselawn Cemetery, Junction City, AR. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Attn: Danielle Henry, 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231 or charity of choice.
