Billie Ruth Hall age 82, of El Dorado, AR passed from this life to her Heavenly home on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House with her loving cousins, Robin and Debbie at her side. She was born January 20, 1933 in Junction City, AR, to the late George Lee" Parcher" Hall and Ola Icie (Jackson) Hall.
Billie worked at the State of Texas Public Welfare office while living at Baytown, TX. After moving to Arkansas, she went to work at J and M Poultry as Don Barber's Secretary in the Personnel Dept. She then went to work at the Dept. of Human Services as Secretary to Betty Thurmon Raley, with whom she developed a lifelong friendship.
Billie Ruth loved Southern Gospel singing and loved singing Alto to the old 4-part harmony songs and was the long time Secretary-Treasurer for the Union County Singing Convention.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in El Dorado for over 50 years where she faithfully served as a pianist, organist and Church Clerk for 20 yrs. She loved her Church and her Church family.
Billie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Virginia Hill and Sadie Hall; two brothers-in-law, Edgar Hill and Vichael Dison; brother, Thomas Henry Hall and a nephew, James Allen Hill.
Survivors include an Aunt, Janie "Penny" Cline of El Dorado; two Uncles, W.T. "Snip" Jackson of Louann, AR and R. R. "Doc" Jackson of Pasadena, TX; a very dear friend, Betty Thurmon Raley of El Dorado; her longtime aid, Cynthia Jackson of Junction City, AR and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7:30 pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Temple Baptist Church in El Dorado with Bro. Roy Smith and Bro. Danny Donahoe officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be; Terry Jackson, Ronny Lang, James Garrett, Harold Raley, Jimmy Hines and Caleb Cain
Honorary pallbearers will be the Junction City High School Class of 1952.
