Shirley Jean Hall, 73, of El Dorado, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Medical Center of South Arkansas.

She was born April 3, 1939, in Malvern, the daughter of Will Owens and Lois Hughes Anthony. She attended Washington High School in El Dorado and worked as a nursing assistant at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home and Warner Brown Hospital. She was a member of Free Union A.M.E. Church.

She was preceded in death by her father; her maternal grandmother, Sallie Hughes; two sons, Billy Charles King and Robert Anthony Hall; and one brother, Clarence Riggs.

Survivors include three sons, Samuel C. Hall of North Little Rock, and Al Johnny Hall and Roy E. Hall of Lawton, Okla.; three daughters, Vada Smith and Beverly Hall of El Dorado, and Brandy Michelle Bass-Hall of Jacksonville; her mother, Lois Anthony of Detroit; one brother, Ronald Riggs of Detroit; five sisters, Linda Adams, Rose Jacobs, Diree Anthony, Veronica North and Victoria Anthony, all of Detroit; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Free Union A.M.E. Church on U.S. 82 East, El Dorado. Burial will be in Lott Burgy Cemetery in El Dorado under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home
