E. Kathleen Keck, 85, Fort Smith passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 20, 1926, in Lavaca to Myrtle Lee Keith Claborn.
She was a school teacher at Lavaca Schools where she taught third grade for many years. Kathleen was an avid gardener and loved cats. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
Burial will follow at Hickory Ridge Cemetery near Lavaca under the direction of Smith Mortuary in Charleston. The Rev. Edward Ellis will officiate.
Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters, Margaret E. McFarland and husband John David of Harrison, Marilyn Eppler and husband Smokey of East Bernard, Texas, Nancy Donehue and husband Pat of Edmond, Okla., and Nelda Smith and husband Mike of Plano, Texas; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
