Mrs. Irene Weldon Enis, 56, died Sunday morning at her home in Junction City. She was born Sept. 21, 1914, in Bernice, La., and was the daughter of Howard and Mary Robinson Weldon. Survivors include her husband J. B. (Doc) Enis, Junction City; and a son, John H. Enis, Stillwater, Okla. She also leaves four aunts, Mrs. Lincoln White, EL Dorado, Mrs. J. B. Roberson, Bernice, La., Mrs. J. E. Roberson, Magnolia, and Mrs. E. O. Howard, Amarillo, Tex.; and an uncle, J. E. Roberson, Magnolia. Funeral service were at 3 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Junction City with the Rev. Harold Cook and the Rev. H. B. Fuller officiating. Burial followed in Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Gradydon Cates, Lavelle Perdue, Johnny Telford, Clyde Nelson, Edwin Green and Derrell Blackmon. Honorary pallbearers will be the board of deacons of the First Baptist Church of Junction City. (El Dorado Times - March 22, 1971)
