Imogene Wilson Gann, 96, of Van Buren, formerly of Lavaca, passed away Oct. 31, 2015, in Van Buren.
She was born July 31, 1919, in Lavaca to Arvil and Grace Hunter Wilson.
Imogene was a homemaker and loved gardening. She spent many hours in the kitchen, canning and freezing much of the harvest from her garden and gave a great deal of it to family and friends. She enjoyed reading and continued to read right up to the end of her life. She loved life and enjoyed being with people.
She maintained her sense of humor for as long as she lived.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gann; daughter, Glenda Sue Rennard; two sisters, Maxine Wise and Ila Craft; and her parents.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston. Burial will follow at Hickory Ridge Cemetery in Lavaca under the direction of Smith Mortuary.
She is survived by one daughter, Carlene Roller and husband Jerry; three sons, Larry Gann and wife Wanda, Jimmy Gann and Steve Gann and wife Dana; one sister, Ruth Steele; two brothers, Bill Wilson and wife Linda and Glen Wilson; five grandchildren, Jerry Roller, Terry Roller, Mary Patterson, Carl Gann and Trista Crittendon; one great-grandson, Braydon Roller; and four great-granddaughters, Monique, Jasmine, Rhiannon and Shaneyah.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Roller Jr., Terry Roller, Carl Gann, Braydon Roller, Paul Wilson and Ricky Johnson.
