Henry Lee Mayfield, 62, well known resident of Hindsville, died Monday, January 25 in the Springdale Memorial hospital. His home is in the Whitener community.Mr. Mayfield was a former president of the Valley Bank of Hindsville, a position he held for a number of years. He had extensive farm and livestock interests in Madison and Washington counties.Mr. Mayfield was born October 13, 1891 in Washington county the son of William Green Mayfield and Sarah Jane Clark-Mayfield. He was married to the former Miss Artie Linebarger of Hindsville, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Cate and threegrandchildren, of route 1, Fayetteville; his mother, Mrs. Sara Mayfield of Mayfield; three brothers, W. C. Mayfield, retired Hindsville postmaster who recently moved to Springdale, Jim Mayfield of Vista, Calif., and Harry Mayfield of Bakersfield, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Veva Bison and Mrs. Ovid Puryear, both of Mayfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Buckeye church today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Cecil Garrison, Baptist pastor of Huntsville. Burial will be in the Buckeye cemetery with arrangements by the Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Vaughn, Otis Vaughn, Rolla Fitch, Cecil Fitch, Curtis Berry and Alvin Dennis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Phillips, Fay M. Smith, Roy M. Fullerton, Tom Hargis, Earl Davis, Andy Gaskill, Lloyd Linebarger, Frank Fetters, Gilford McCarver, Lawrence Smith, H. G. Proctor and Paul Smith.

Mrs. Artie Trammel, 89, of Route 2, Box 23, Hindsville, died May 16, 1985, at Meadowview Lodge in Huntsville. She was born Jan. 20, 1896, at Whitener, Ark., the daughter of Marcus Albert and Mary Adaline Whitener Linebarger.
Survivors include three grandsons, Phillip E. Cate of Little Rock, Jimmy R. Cate of Russellville and Paul Cate of Hindsville; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, May 20, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Dean Morris officiating. Interment was in the Buckeye Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Frankie Fitch, Bille Stafford, Richard Bell, Bill Starnes, Rocky Bell and C.G. Mason.
