Steely McHargue, age 81, of Lonoke passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014. He was born September 13, 1933 in Corbin, Kentucky to the late Nathaniel and Grace McHargue. He was a retired United States Air Force Korean War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean McHargue. He is survived by his children; Elizabeth Grace McHargue of Cabot, James Nathan McHargue and his wife Cynthia, one brother Joe McHargue, seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Sumner Cemetery in Cabot with Bro. Terry Fortner officiating. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory (501) 982-2136.


Jean Flurence Agnes McHargue, 79, of Cabot died Friday, December 17, 2010. She was born March 29, 1935 in Middleton Chaney, England to the late James and Elizabeth Carpenter. On June 13, 1959, she married Steely McHargue and was a home maker.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. McHargue is survived by two children, Elizabeth Layton of Cabot and James McHargue of Lonoke as well as a brother, Rodney Carpenter of Banbury, England, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are by Moores Jacksonville Funeral Home (501)982-2136.
