January 27, 1935 - October 17, 2013
Betty Jean Tolley, 78 of Camden, AR passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Ouachita County Medical Center. She was born January 27, 1935 to Dr. Wade and Pauline Greening Ruby in Albany, CA. She was a member of Two Bayou Church of Christ. While attending Harding Universtiy she taught at the School for the Blind on Sundays. She graduated from Pepperdine University. She was a teacher for 37 years most of it teaching Spanish. She was a member of Delta Kapa Gama Sorority and the Arkansas Hereford Woman’s Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Wade and Pauline Ruby. She is survived by her husband, Robert Tolley of Camden, AR; daughter, Jeannie Andrews and husband, Shaw of Camden, AR; grandsons, Wade and Zachery Andrews both of Camden, AR; brother, Doug Ruby of Idaho, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tolley will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Two Bayou Church of Christ with burial in Greening Cemetery. Brother Russ Comeaux will officiate the services. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
