Ramona Anne Fate, who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 10, 2021, at her home. She was born on November 13, 1936, in Clay Center, Nebraska, to the late Ralph Fred Jester and Grace Eva Moorhead Jester. She was 84 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Allen Fate, and a sister, June Doyen.
Ramona was a retired poultry and cattle farmer and faithful member of Lavaca First Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14th, at First Baptist Church in Lavaca, with Pastor Steven Smithson officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Ridge Cemetery, located east of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by her son, Mark Fate and wife Tracie of Ozark; two daughters, Jonnie Robinson and husband David of Fort Smith and Jacqui Sargent and husband Shelton of Fort Smith; a brother, Fred Jester and wife Marlys of Clay Center, Nebraska; a sister, Betty Goff of Bentonville; seven grandchildren, Cassie Foster and husband Jason and Catherine Fate, all of Ozark, Don Fate and wife Amber of Springdale, Audra Sargent and fiance' Charles Belt, and Ember Whitt and husband Reece, all of Fort Smith, Emily Durham and husband Cole of Benton, and Ethan Robinson and wife Sarah of Huntington; four great-grandchildren.
