ROGERS - Viola M. Barnes Smith, 93, of Rogers passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 11, 1927, near Stigler, Okla., to the late LD and Dellie Nance.
Viola was also preceded by husbands Albert Troy Barnes and Jim Smith; son Jess Alan Barnes, all of Rogers; grandson Adam Barnes of Pittsburg, Kan.; and six siblings.
Vi left a lasting impression wherever she went. She will forever be remembered for her gentle spirit, her fun sense of humor and adventure and for her selfless ways. She was a blessing to all who knew her.
Survivors include daughter Debra Joyce Aizpurua (Dodd) of Conway; sons Jerry Dean Barnes (Dianna) of Pittsburg, Kan., Larry Wayne Barnes (Betty) of Rogers and David Troy Barnes (Dee) of Midlothian, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Private services and interment in Pace Chapel Cemetery will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, www.RollinsFuneral.com.
