William Riley Gray, 85, a resident of Prairie View, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020, at his home.

He was born September 18, 1934, in Prairie View to the late Carl Riley and Annie Lucille (Newman) Gray. William served his nation in the United States Army. After his military service William spent his working years first as the owner of the Country Market in California, then after moving to Arkansas He was the owner of Fox Slaughter and Processing near Scranton. He was a member of Johnson Freewill Baptist Church near Scranton, Arkansas Cattlemen's Association, Logan County Coon Hunter's Association and the Scranton Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann (Towner) Gray; a brother, Joseph Gray and a sister, Annette Ford.

Survivors include three sons, Michael R. Gray and wife, Allyson of Cave Springs, Virginia, Randall S. Gray of Yucca Valley, California and Justin L. Gray of Scranton; two daughters, Cynthia A. Lewis of Yucca Valley, California and Kristi L. Arbaugh and husband, Dean of Scranton; twenty grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren; a sister, Dortha Mae Hayward of Scranton.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Johnson Freewill Baptist Church near Scranton with Bro. Jimmy Williams officiating. We ask for your patience due to the directive by the Arkansas Department of Health because of COVID-19 a limit of 50 persons will be allowed in the church facility. Graveside services will follow in Prairie View Cemetery with social distancing being the only restriction under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Randy and Jeremiah Gray, Devin and Daniel Jennings, James Lewis and Dean Arbaugh.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan, Christopher, Joshua and Justin Gray and Camron Smith.

Beverly Ann "Towner" Gray 73, of Scranton, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 in Russellville, Arkansas. Beverly was born on January 25, 1938 in Fruta, Colorado to Beryl and Florence (Mowry) Towner. Beverly was the office manager and Co-Owner of Fox Slaughter House in Scranton and she was a member of Johnson Freewill Baptist Church in Scranton.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents Beryl and Florence Towner.

Beverly is survived by her husband of fifty five years William Gray of Scranton, two daughters, Cynthia Lewis of Yucca Valley, California and Kristi Arbaugh of Scranton, three sons Michael Gray of Roanoke, Virginia, Randall Gray of Yucca Valley, California and Justin Gray of Scranton, one brother Jerry Towner of Roseville, California, eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Johnson Free Will Baptist Church in Scranton, Arkansas with burial in Prairie View Cemetery in Prairie View under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Pallbearers will be Michael Gray, Randall Gray, Justin Gray, Jeremiah Gray, Chris Gray, Joshua Gray, Daniel Jennings and Devin Jennings.
