Emma Jean “Jeanie” Brumley, 65, of Smackover, received her angel wings on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
Jeanie was born on August 4, 1945, in Riverside, CA, the daughter of Ray Alexander and Madeliene Peacha Skates Alexander. She was a retired office manager of Ferrell Gas and a member of Smackover Assembly of God. She loved her church, gardening, flowers and fishing.
She enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends; talking and laughing on her porch. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and especially her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of nine years, Henry Lee Brumley of Smackover; a son, Randy Roberson (Mona) of Smackover; a daughter, Deborah Kay Vinson of Smackover; two step-sons, David Brumley (Genon) of Ashdown, AR, and Dean Brumley (Tammy) of Norphlet; three step-daughters, Susan Hill and Regina Murley of Carlsbad, NM, and Shannan Brumley of El Dorado; a sister, Raylene Williams of Little Rock, AR; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with Mark Stratton and Carl Hart officiating at Young’s Chapel. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Garden under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young’s.
The family will receive friends and family at the home of Deborah Vinson 600 E. 9th in Smackover
