Martha Jean Perkins, 91, of Norphlet, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born December 29, 1929 to Hugh N. Neale and Mattie Bell Neale in Springdale, AR.

Martha was a faithful member of the Norphlet United Methodist Church, were she served as church secretary for many years. She retired from the Lion Oil Company land department in 1958, leaving a career she loved to care for her growing family. Nana was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She cherished time with her family and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Richard E. Perkins; infant child, Elizabeth Perkins; and sister, Anna Bell Seekman.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Carmichael (Dewayne) of El Dorado, Carolyn Perkins of Norphlet; three grandchildren, Chase Carmichael (Taylor) and Chad Carmichael (Jenny), Miranda Couvillion; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors, will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Norphlet United Methodist Church, 505 E. Padgett Street, Norphlet, AR 71759 or to the John R. Williamson Hospice House, 2301 Champagnolle Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730.
