Raymond A. Ruttle Sr., 96, passed away July 26, 2014, in a local hospital. He was born in Denning to Louis Theodore and Elizabeth (Ockenfels) Ruttle. He was retired from Harding Glass, where he worked as both an accountant and a purchasing agent. He was a World War II veteran of the Army and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary R. "Gina" Ruttle, and by his son, Raymond Ruttle, Jr.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy "Polly" Borengasser Ruttle of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Smith and her husband Joe of Fort Smith and Ann Brabham and her husband Larry of Spring, Texas; two sons, Kenneth Ruttle and his wife Mary of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., and Dan Ruttle and his wife Brenda of Lavaca; 13 grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. today at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Don Buegler, Derek Smith, Travis Atchley and John Barker.
