August 29, 1942 - October 1, 2020

Carolyn passed away peacefully at Willis Knighton Bossier on Thursday October 1, 2020 with her son by her side, after a brief illness.
She was born 08/29/1942 to Alymer and Emily Hicks in El Dorado, Arkansas. She enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music, spending time with family, and shopping. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making homemade candy, cakes, and pies. She regularly donated to the paralyzed veterans of America. She was always up to date on the latest country music stars and their hits. You could find her cheering on the Houston Astros or the LSU Tigers throughout baseball and football seasons. Her holiday hams were enjoyed by many and her blue eyes and smile would light up a room. She was known by many names but her favorite was “Granny”.

A visitation for Carolyn Sharp will be held on Saturday October 3, 2020 at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton, Louisiana from 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM. Graveside Services will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in El Dorado, Arkansas Sunday, October 4th at 2:30 PM.

She is preceded in death by husband, Jack Sharp; mother, Emily Hicks; father, A C Hicks; and brother, Ronald Hicks. Carolyn is survived by her son, Scott Martin and wife Joanna Martin of Haughton, LA; grandson, Clinton Martin and wife Jessica Martin of Benton, LA; granddaughter, Kay Lynne Wilkerson and husband Ryan (Rooster) of Rayville, LA; and great- grandsons, Carter and John Henry.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willis Knighton Bossier, especially Ann Mabry, R.N. for their loving care.
