Carol Eustacia Coe Powell, 90, of North Little Rock passed away in Springfield, Missouri, Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Although born in Little Rock, Carol spent her growing up and early-married years in New Orleans, Louisiana. She and her husband, Mike, and her only son, Miles, lived in many states: Louisiana, New Mexico, Florida, Colorado, Michigan, and Mississippi - finally settling back in North Little Rock over the last thirty years where she was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Miles Walker, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and many loving extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Miles Coe and Blanche Marie Landry Coe; husband, Michael Rhodes Powell; son, William Miles Powell and her sister, Blanche Lea Johnson.

A memorial and communion service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2009 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4106 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in North Little Rock with a reception following in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be given to a favorite charity or St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
