February 12, 1933 - November 10, 2018
DeLeath Haley Ludwig, 85 of El Dorado, AR passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born on February 12, 1933 in Crystal Springs, MS to William Warren Haley and Florice Crews Haley.
DeLeath graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville MS and Southern State College in Magnolia, AR. She taught at Murmil Heights Elementary from 1969 to 1979. Over the years she taught Sunday School and was an active member of several prayer and intercession groups including Vantrease Methodist Church, East Main Baptist Church and presently Cross Life Church (formerly Second Baptist Church). Deleath attended Monday Artists at South Arkansas Art Center for several years.
DeLeath was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James "Shorty" Ludwig; and daughter in law, Cathy Ludwig.
Survivors are sons, Warren Ludwig of Overland Park, KS and Kris H. Ludwig (Debra) of El Dorado; granddaughters, Jenni Ludwig of Longmont, CO, Courtney Shay of Overland Park, KS; and great grandson, Jackson Shay of Overland Park, KS.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Young's Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, in Young's Chapel with Rev. Mitch Odom officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
Memorials may be made to John R. Williamson Hospice House, 2301 Champagnolle Rd., El Dorado, AR or Gideon’s International.
