Mrs. Louise Burton of Locust Bayou, 46, died Thursday night in a hospital at Little Rock. She was the widow of Loyce Burton, and a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of the Locust Bayou Church of Christ. Mrs. Burton is survived by one son, Jessie Burton of Locust Bayou; her mother, Mrs. Virginia Furr of Locust Bayou; eight brothers, James Furr of Hampton, Dale Furr of Camden, Lonnie Furr of Murray, Kentucky, Billy Ray Furr of Dallas, Texas, Allen Wade Furr of Sumpter, South Carolina, Joe Furr of Oklahoma City, Okla., Richard Furr of Garden City, California and Jack Furr of Locust Bayou, her grandmother, Mrs. Lou Furr also of Locust Bayou. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Church of Christ at Locust Bayou with burial in Plunkett Cemetery. Proctors is in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - April 18, 1969)
