Clarence Jefferson Hines, 84, of 1329 Roselawn St., died Thursday morning at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Born July 15, 1884, in Prescott he was the son of George W. and Belle Reed Hines. He had been a resident of El Dorado since 1934. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Theater Bible Class. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ida D. Hones; a daughter, Mrs. W. J. Dycus of El Dorado; a sister, Mrs. Sam Taylor of El Dorado; two grandchildren, Mrs. Joann Bullock and Van Hines both of El Dorado; one great grandson. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Don B. Harbuck officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Young's.
