Houma - Bonnie Jean DeLaneuville, age 86, a resident of Houma, Louisiana, stepped into the light of God's loving presence on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11:16 am. She exemplified his kindness, forgiveness, peace and compassion. Bonnie was born on February 2, 1935 in El Dorado, Ar. to her parents, James Wesley Hood Sr. and Wilfred Virginia Vining. She graduated from El Dorado High school in 1953. Bonnie devoted her life to our heavenly father, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She worked hard as an owner of Houma Sign Service, where she met many new and old friends. She was proud to be a part of Christ Baptist Church and went on missions crossing borders. Bonnie's life story is beautiful and has served as a testimony and inspiration to everyone who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memory include her brother James Wesley Hood Jr; her grandchildren Micha Wayne Pagan, Chanon Pagan Davis, Charlotte Noel Zedlitz, Bobby Pagan, Josh Pagan, Amber Nicole Pagan, and Heather Ann Pagan; her great grandchildren Jacob Michael Mascarella, Rhylee Jane McGee, Deytan Lamar Houle, Kennedy Grace Ann Trosclair, and Kori Nova Ripley Trosclair; her stepdaughter Tessie DeLaneuville Trabeau; her stepson Jody DeLaneuville; her step-grandchildren Quinn Trabeau, Erin Trabeau Bowling, Ragen DeLaneuville, and Jade DeLaneuville. Preceding her in death her husband, Emmett James DeLaneuville, who passed away Dec 20, 2013 at 77 years young; her beloved parents, James Hood Sr. & Virginia Hood; her 3 sons Harold Eugene Pagan Jr., Perry Clark Pagan, and Drew Whitney Pagan; and her grandchild Krystyna Leigh Pagan. Family and friends may visit Christ Baptist Church in Houma, La. where services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 10:30am to 12:30pm in her honor. For the safety of family and their guests, masks are required, along with social distancing.
