June 24, 1946 - October 2, 2022
On June 24, 1946, God gifted this world with the life and spirit of Bobbie J. Williams. She was the fifth child of the late Robert Green Sr. and the late Katie Wallace Green. Bobbie departed this life on October 2, 2022, at Courtyard Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center of El Dorado, Arkansas.
Bobbie was raised here in El Dorado. She attended Washington High School. Bobbie was a proud member of the class of 1964.
Following graduation, Bobbie attended Philander Smith College, a private historically black college in Little Rock, Arkansas. After college, she worked as a social worker at the Department of Social Services in El Dorado before working tirelessly and faithfully as a store clerk/manager at Rainbow Mart for over twenty years before retiring.
Bobbie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life and was a member at Victory Bible Church until she departed.
Bobbie was known and loved by many. She had a big heart and would give her last dime to anyone in need. Her generosity stretched beyond her family. Bobbie would not hesitate to speak to someone even if she did not know the person. She loved her family and friends. Bobbie was a devoted and loving mother to her three children. That love and devotion extended to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bobbie was preceded in death by spouse Virgil Williams as well as her mother Katie Wallace Green, her father Robert Green Sr, her son Christopher Green, her brother Elmer Green, her sister Sandra Thomas, and her sister Alice Modica.
She leaves to cherish precious memories; her son Gregory Green (Delisa Green), her daughter Tracy Hicks, her brother Robert Green Jr, her sister Velma Willingham, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, and cherished friends.
