*Georgia Ziegler Reppel, 93, of New Athens, died Sunday, September 25, 1994, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville.
She was born Thursday, June 27, 1901, at Lenzburg Township, daughter of Louis and Caroline Weidemann (Warren) Knight.
She married John W. Ziegler August 8, 1923, at Union, Mo. He died July 14, 1951. She married Gustave O. Reppel November 30, 1957, at New Athens. He died January 12, 1971.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. She was also a member of St. John Women's Guild; V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary #7710 at New Athens, Lenzburg Homemakers, New Athens Senior Citizens Club and R.S.V.P. Group.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Jean Ziegler and brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one son, John (Carol) Ziegler of Conway, Ark.; one daughter, Jacqueline (Arthur) Hebner of Heber Springs, Ark.; one brother, Clarence Weidemann of Belleville; two step-sisters, Hilda Korte of New Athens and Margarete Knight of Everett, Wash.; three granddaughters, Mimi Ziegler, Robin Ziegler and Dr. Gayle Hebner of Everett, Wash.; one grandson, Allyn Hebner and two great granddaughters, Gwendolyn Hebner and Rebecca Hebner.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, September 27, 1994, at 11 a.m., at St. John United Church of Christ, New Athens, with Dr. Robert Koch officiating, assisted by Rev. Carol Ziegler. Burial was at Oakridge Cemetery, New Athens. Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home, New Athens was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to New Athens Senior Center.
