Mrs. Morteal Miller, 82, of Fountain Hill, AR, departed this life Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was a lifelong resident of Fountain Hill, a homemaker and a faithful member of Bethel A.M.E. Church where she was a strong supporter of church activities and a faithful and loyal Sunday school attendee.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo Miller; her parents, Rev. Thomas & Mattie Smith Daniel, one brother, Elihue Blanks, and two sisters, Madge Callins and Mary Jones. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering, canning, cooking, quilting and family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Brown, husband Samuel of Los Angeles, CA, one grandson, Samuel Brown, Jr., one great grandson, Zen Simone Brown of Kilauea, HI, one brother, Johnny Daniel of Kansas City, KS and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Funeral services are Friday, July 20, 2012 at 11:00 am Bethel A.M.E. Church with Presiding Elder Nolan Watson and Rev. Christopher Goodman officiating. Pallbearers are Lonnie Blanks, Terry Callins, Ronald Jones, Daryle Daniels, Ray Martin and Jamie Pritchard. Visitation Thursday, July 19 from 6-8 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home. Burial in Norris Hill Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
