Josie Evalyn McGinty, 92, of Greenbrier, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Born in Plummerville, Arkansas, she was a daughter to the late James and Mary Britton Powell. During WWII Mrs. McGinty worked as an electrician, on the Liberty ships being made in California and once worked as a cook at the Lewis Sale barn in Conway. She was a member of the McGintytown Church of God. Mrs. McGinty was preceded in death by her husband Ralph McGinty; brothers, Irvin, Arthur, Raymond and Johnny Powell; sisters, Nora Rison, Willie McGinty, and Ester Byrd.
Survivors include, her brother Cecil Powell and his wife Jewell; sisters, Arteen Merritt and Vurnice Hardy and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 11, at McGintytown Church of God with Pastor Tom New officiating. Burial will follow at McGintytown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. 501-679-2575
