Michael William Bishop, age 44 of Conway, died Saturday, (Feb 25, 2006).

He was born Sept. 3, 1961, in Boksburg, South Africa, to Basil William and Joan Catherine Bishop. He was baptized in the Parish of Empaugeui, in the Diocese of Zululand July 18, 1965.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother Bruce Bishop. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, The Institute of Industrial Engineers, The Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and Phi Theta Kappa Society. He was a Master Electrician and held a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University College of Engineering, an Associates of Applied Science in General Technology from Pulaski Technical College, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of San Moritz.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Paulette Bishop; by his sons, Caleb Bishop and Jacob Bishop and Jacob's spouse Abigail Rodriguez Loya Bishop. Michael's family in South Africa include: Tim and Delores Bishop of Durban, and their children Brett and Cara; Susan, Samantha, and Vanessa Gibb of Boksburg, his two nephews, Kyle and Erik Huber of Indiana, and their father Gerald Huber.

Memorial services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, in the Chapel of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Deacon Jerry Joe Harrison.

Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
