He was former tax assessor (2 terms 1906) and 1914 sheriff of Faulkner County Ark. JP in Clifton Township elected tax assessor in 1906 He served as highway commissoner supervisor for state of Ark. he died of heart problems
Waverly was 1/2 brother of Charles E Lander. He was 65 years of age at death. He died at 3 am at St Vincents Inf in L.R. Ark. of heart ailment. Born in Johnson County Ark. Spent most of his life in Faulkner County Ark.Served as JP in Clifton township. In 1906 elected as tax assessor.In later years he served as county highway supervisor for state highway commission. He married in 1898. He is buried in Conway by Doolin Funeral Home. HE was survied by Murine Bishop, Ruby Bishop of westwood Calif. Waverly Jr of GrassValley Calif. 1/2brother J R Eden Indianola Okla, stepsister Mrs. George Clark (Ollie Lander) of Conway ARk.
