Mr. Lonnie Eugene Walters, 58 of Hamburg died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. He was a native of Crossett but a resident of Hamburg. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the North American Fishman’s Club, and a member of North Main Baptist Church. He was an over the road truck driver. Mr. Walters loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father: Wesley Eugene Walters, and one brother: Billy F. Walters.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years: Brenda Brawner Walters of Hamburg, AR; one son: Joey Mockbee and wife Angela of Rochester, NY; two daughters: Lisa Richardson of Hamburg, AR and Lacie Pullin and husband Scott of ElDorado, AR; his mother: Dora Martin Walters of Hamburg, AR; four brothers: Ronnie Walters and wife Barbara of Hamburg, AR, Thomas Walters and wife Sharon of Hamburg, AR, Sammy Walters and wife Mary Hellen of Hamburg, AR, and Johnny Walters and wife Rita of Fountain Hill, AR; three sisters: Elaine Carter of Seligman, AR, Kathy Barfield and husband Jim of Hamburg, AR and Treasa Pilgrim and husband Tommy of Hamburg, AR; seven grandchildren: Brittany Davis and husband Jimmy, Lydia and Malorie Pullin, Alex, Cliff, Joey, and Austin Mockbee; one great grandchild: Jimmy Lee Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 2:00P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robin Allen officiating. Active pallbearers are Zachary Jackson, Chris Walters, Barry Joiner, Jeff Bilbo, Jimbo Barfield, Bobby Martin, and Tyler Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are John Herbert Martin, Earl Carter, Travis Mann, and Scott Kleman. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 6:00-8:00P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Interment will be at Flat Creek Cemetery in Fountain Hill, AR under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
