Gail Gwin Barnett, 45, of Fountain Hill died Sunday
October 8, 2006, at her residence. A native of Bastrop, LA, a resident of Fountain Hill for many years and a former resident of Hamburg, she graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1979 and worked as
the revenue agent at the state revenue offices in
Warren and in Hamburg for many years. She enjoyed
fishing and hunting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Wesley Alexander of Fountain Hill; two daughters, Whitney Simmons and husband Jeremy of Monticello and Sarah Johnson of Fountain Hill; her father, Wayne Gwin; two brothers, Mickey and Steven Gwin; a sister, Sherry Stanley, all of Fountain Hill; two granddaughters, Haley & Brittney Alexander; and a special friend, Joe Barnett of Fountain Hill.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn
Morrow Gwin in 2004.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday,
October 10, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral
Home in Hamburg with Rev. Jimmy Bates officiating.
Pallbearers were to be Steve Logan Gwin, Jared Gwin,
Mark Stanley, Cody Reed, Mike Cone, Dickey Bradshaw
and Richard Gwin. Honorary pallbearers were to be Scott Stanley, Haley & Brittney Alexander, Crystal Wilson, Eleni & Staci Gwin. Burial was to follow services at the Flat Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Flat Creek Cemetery Association, c/o the First Baptist Church of Fountain Hill, PO Box 265, Fountain Hill, AR 71642.
