Obituary

James Boyd Holloway, Sr 81 of Greenbrier passed away Friday, August 5, 2011. Born in Greenbrier, Arkansas on November 6, 1929, he was the only child to the late James Amon and Dorothy Margaret (Tucker) Holloway. Mr. Holloway graduated from North Little Rock High School, was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a Mason. He retired in 1985, after 30 years as manager for ARKLA Gas Company (now Centerpoint Energy). He loved being with his family, going out to eat and his best pal, his dog, Sarge.

He was preceded in death by his previously mentioned parents; his beloved wife of 62 years, Zelda Louise Brunson Holloway, his son, James Boyd Holloway, Jr, and an infant daughter.

Survivors include his daughter D.Ann Phillips and husband Terry and son Jerry Holloway and wife Faye, and daughter-in-law Mary Holloway, all of Greenbrier; grandchildren: Christy, Melissa, Shelly, Shannon, Allan, Michelle and Mark; twelve great grandchildren and his nephew John Scroggins.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Interment will follow at Thorn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 7, at the funeral home.
