Judy was born at home near Plainview, AR on October 31, 1945 to Hayes and Imogene (Leach) Bridges. She graduated as valedictorian of her high school class in 1963 and enrolled in Arkansas Tech University that summer. She married Charles Chastain on December 26, 1963.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William Ray (Bill), her sister Virginia Kugel-Zank and her husband of 51 years, Charles. She is survived by her daughter, Sara Chastain, her brother J. Robert (Ann) Bridges, her brother-in-law Dale Zank, her sister-in-law Debra Bridges, nephews Matthew Bridges, and Christopher Bridges, and nieces Amy Bridges, Cindy Kugel, Heather Xayavongsa, and Melissa Couch, and several great-nieces and nephews. Her nieces and nephews affectionately referred to her as FAJ (Favorite Aunt Judy). She was also survived by a large extended Chastain family.
