Jennie Mildred Allen Ashworth of Camden, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2023. Jennie was born on February 1, 1933 in Camden, Arkansas to Oscar and Ruth McGaughey Allen. Jennie was a member of Cullendale First Baptist Church and worked as a Teachers Aide at Fairview Elementary School for many years. Jennie retired from Fairview Elementary School. Jennie enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and grand dogs. Jennie also enjoyed spending time in her backyard watching the birds and tending to her daylilies. Jennie enjoyed working puzzles as well.
Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ruth McGaughey Allen; sister, Alice Stubbs; brothers, Oscar Allen, Bo Allen, Thomas Allen, Clyde Allen, Roy Allen and Hugh Allen.
Jennie is survived by her husband, Bobby J. Ashworth; two daughters, Lisa Davidson (Kenneth) and Lori Hudson (Jack); grandson, Butch Stewart (Jinger); two granddaughters, Sarah Phillips and Stephanie Sliva (Daniel); two great-granddaughters, Peyton Phillips and Abbigail Phillips; sister-in-law, Helen Brian; host of other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to Cullendale First Baptist Church 1850 Cash Road, Camden, AR 71701.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00PM Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Rusty Ross and Bro. Clay Doss officiating. Burial will be family only at Bethesda Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
