Vila F. Purifoy, 86, of Camden, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at her home in Camden.
Mrs. Purifoy was born March 9, 1925 in Paris, TX, the daughter of Cleve and Minnie Hastings Carroll. She was a homemaker, and member of Westside United Methodist Church of Camden.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Carroll and a sister, Margaret Pickett.
Survivors include her husband, Henry M. Purifoy of Camden; sons, Billy Carroll Burroughs and wife, Kathy of Pine Bluff, and Clifford Lee Burroughs and wife, Johnlyn of Camden; daughter, Penny Lynn Edge and husband, Jeff of Dothan, AL; grandsons, Brent Burroughs and Alex Edge; granddaughters, Jill Lane and Viktoriya Edge; great grandson, Spencer Lane; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lane; brother, Stanley Carroll of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Dorothy Abbott, Mary Creech both of Shreveport, LA, Myrtle Nell Pratt and Gracie Mosely McGill both of Chidester, AR; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Purifoy will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday October 8, 2011 at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Goza and Rev. Don Nickelson officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
