Donna was an inspiration to many as typified by her strength and fortitude and positive outlook despite the challenges she faced battling cancer. Donna, 50, was born in Pine Bluff, AR and graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1977 and moved to the Dallas area in 1987. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Steve, and children Mallory and Daniel Massanelli, both of Dallas; parents Carol and Betty Stanford of Pine Bluff, AR; brothers Travis Stanford (Janet) of Conway, AR, Greg Stanford (Carole) of White Hall, AR, Ryan Stanford of Pine Bluff, AR; sister, Susan Stanford, Pine Bluff, AR; and dogs Buddy and Classy. Donna enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, playing Scrabble and spending time with her family and playing with her dogs. She was involved with various organizations at Jesuit College Preparatory School and Ursuline Academy. She also was an active volunteer at the Town North YMCA. Special thanks to all the physicians who treated Donna during her 15 year battle, especially Dr. Amanullah Khan and Mary Kippa. Thanks as well to all of our friends, particularly those from St. Rita, Jesuit and Ursuline who supported her during the years. We are forever thankful for what you did for Donna and our family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Jesuit College Preparatory School, St. Rita Catholic School, Urusline Academy or the Town North YMCA. A Rosary will be prayed Monday, January 12, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church with Rev. Phil Postell, S.J., celebrant. Burial will be private.
