Laura M. Buckner, age 96, of Camden, AR, born May 10th, 1919 in Buena Vista, Ouachita County, AR, passed away October 13, 2015 at Silver Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation, Camden, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, E. H. and Effie Tutt; her husband, John E. Buckner; a daughter, Charlotte Ann Johnson; a son, George E. Johnson; two sisters, Lucille White and Mary Manak; and four brothers, Lloyd, Emmett, Thomas, and Hardy Tutt.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Buckner of Camden, AR and Harry Johnson and his wife, Lucy, of Prairie Grove, AR; three grandchildren, John W. Buckner of Cashion, OK, David R. Buckner of Camden, AR and Debbie Waller and her husband, Daniel of Prairie Grove, AR; her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Bethesda Cemetery in Camden with Buddy Ellington officiating.
