Carolyn Sue Bracy, 83, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord August 6, 2021. She was born July 5, 1938 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Howard and Edna Sengel.

As a youth in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Carolyn was actively involved in her community, volunteering her time for The Rainbow Girls. She was well loved by her peers and was Homecoming Queen at North Side High School. Carolyn continued her community service as a young adult with The Junior League of Fort Smith. After establishing her family, Carolyn devoted her civic service to the Junior Departmental Club in Little Rock. Carolyn was an excellent seamstress and lovingly made quilts for each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carolyn obtained both her Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in early childhood education from University of Arkansas-Little Rock. She taught kindergarten for the Little Rock School District, owned a childrens' clothing boutique and later was the office administrator for her husband's psychology practice. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, making Christmas cookies with her grandchildren and was famous for her delicious dinner rolls.

Carolyn was a long-time member of St. James United Methodist Church, where she and her husband enjoyed a special friendship with the Forum Sunday School class.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years, Dr. Lewis F. Bracy and her beloved dog, Trish. She is survived by her children, Melissa Daniell (Ted) of Harlingen, Texas, Piper Groves (Mark) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Carrie Sultan (Amer) of Orlando, Florida, Chuck Denton (Debbie) of Bryant, Arkansas; Robin Bracy Marrero (Hugo) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lewis F. Bracy, Jr., of San Francisco, California, 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 10 am, Friday, August 13, 2021, at St. James United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family designates St. James United Methodist Church.
