Biography: Paula C. Vanderpool, 71, died Thursday, April 25, 2019 following a brief illness, with family and close friends by her side at Hospice Home Care center in Little Rock. She was born September 25, 1947 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Cecil M. Wilson and Norma Rae Courtney Wilson. Her father was a World War II veteran and a truck driver for Film Transit. Her mother was a ward clerk at Magnolia Hospital. Paula was a long time employee of Visiting Nurse Association of Arkansas and a Telecom Manager at CHI St. Vincent, and most recently a senior lease administrator for Colliers International. Paula graduated from Magnolia High School in 1965. She received a Bachelor of Arts in 1990 from University of Arkansas at Little Rock with cum laude honors. Paula enjoyed time with her family and friends, especially the grandkids, cooking, gardening, sewing, playing canasta, and sitting on her deck admiring her beautiful yard. Paula is survived by sister Micki Mitchell (Randy Mitchell), son Andy Barker (Christina Barker), daughter Wendy Ramsey (Hall Ramsey), son Michael Vanderpool (Lorie Vanderpool), son Kenny Vanderpool (Kris Vanderpool), grandchildren Andrew Barker, Jayden Barker, Wilson Barker, Alyssa Greenwell, Caitlin Ramsey, Avery Ramsey, Hayden Ramsey, Summer Vanderpool, Josh Vanderpool, Joseph Vanderpool, and Blake Vanderpool. Nieces and nephew, Courtney Holsapple (Dan Holsapple), Skylar Mitchell (Brittney Mitchell), Madelyn Mitchell, and Gereline Vanderpool. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Dale Vanderpool, mother Norma Rae Wilson, father Cecil M. Wilson, and sister Jackie Higginbotham. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 29, at 2:00 pm at Ruebel Funeral Home 6313 W. Markham St., Little Rock with burial and reception to follow at St. Mark?s Episcopal Church, 1000 N Mississippi St, Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at P.O.
