BARLING — Sister Mary Alphonsus Butler, 98, of Barling died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, in Barling. She was born in Redhead Cove, Newfoundland, and was a retired nurse at St. Joseph Memorial Medical Center.
Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today and funeral will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at McAuley Convent Chapel of Barling. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery of Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two nieces, Carolyn Godfrey and Sylvia Beaton, both of Massachusetts.
