Service was held Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Bryan Chapel, Hoxie; interment was at Lawrence Memorial Park, Walnut Ridge.
Dewey Terral Vance was born in Cave City, Aug. 11, 1926 and died in Harrison, Sunday, Feb. 18 (2018).
He was a graduate of Egypt High School in 1947 and was a World War II veteran serving in Okinawa as part of Company C 184th Battalion, 5th Infantry, and Korea Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 31st Infantry. He was discharged in 1946.
Dewey married his high school sweetheart, Myrtle Irene Robbins in 1948. Dewey was retired from Arkansas Missouri Power Company which later became part of Entergy.
