FAYETTEVILLE - Edward Stanton Maxey, 91, last surviving sibling of four brothers and a sister, passed Saturday, May 14, 2016. Honorably served in the Navy. Dedicated family physician and surgeon, pilot, flight instructor and medical researcher. Father of Sandra Maxey of Florida, Jacqueline Brown of Ontario, Canada, Edward Maxey of Florida and Robert Maxey of Florida. Grandfather of six and great-grandfather of eight. A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, at Beard's Chapel. Cremation arrangements by Beard's Funeral Chapel. Condolences at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com.
