Dewey Maxey, 76, Rt. 5, Rogers, died May 29 in Gravette Medical Center. Born Aug. 27, 1898, at Stony Point, he was the son of Riley and Tensie Luper Maxey and the widower of Ruth Hutchinson Maxey. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Stony Point, and a retired water well driller.
Survivors include three sons, George D. Maxey, Rogers, Ralph Bennett Maxey, Modesto, Calif., and Richard Maxey, Kent, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Donnie (Gayle) Roolman, Siloam Springs; one brother, Eldon Maxey, Springdale; one sister, Mrs. Mamie George, Springdale; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Sisco Chapel.

Funeral services for Dewey Maxey, 76, Rt. 5, Rogers, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Sisco Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Stuckey Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.
