Berta Lamona Higginbotham, 82, of Judsonia passed away Friday, April 19th at Unity Health Medical Center. She was born September 1, 1936 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Lloyd and Violet (Flat) Martin.

Berta was a member of Gracepoint Church in Beebe. She was a faithful woman of God and prayer warrior. During her early years she was a song leader at Fox United Pentecostal Church. She loved gardening, fishing, crocheting, and she enjoyed her nature walks. Working in nursing she truly enjoyed caring for her home health clients. However, her most favorite pass time was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her five daughters, Lesa Corter, Kathy Graham, husband, Edwin, Debbie Wright, Sandy Wyrick, and Debbie Higginbotham; two sons, Doug Higginbotham, wife Teresa, and Tim Higginbotham; one brother, Jim Martin, wife Juanita; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Shrum, husband Nicki, Joseph Graham, Harvey Wright, Mary Pena, Charles Wright, Justin Wright, Misti Shrum and McKayla Shrum; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Berta was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lonnie Higginbotham; two sons, Gary Wheetley, and Lonnie Higginbotham Jr; one brother, Freddie Martin; two sisters, Carol Vaughn, and Madge Pace; and one brother in law, Phil Pace.

Visitation will be April 24th from 10:00-11:00 am Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be April 24th at 11:00 am at Searcy McEuen Chapel. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery in Searcy, Arkansas.

Lonnie Houston Higginbotham Sr., 89, passed away April 3, 2019. He was born May 17, 1929 to the late Henry and Lucinda Higginbotham in Charleston, West Virginia.

Lonnie loved many things and had several hobbies which included; fishing, hunting, listening to gospel music, and gardening. He was known as a Godly gentleman. Lonnie was a loving husband that cared for his wife until he was unable to do so. He would do anything for anyone that needed help. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years; Berta Higginbotham, two sons; Doug Higginbotham (Teresa), Tim Higginbotham, five daughters; Sandy Wyrick, Lesa Corter, Kathy Graham, Debbie Higginbotham, Debbie Wright, one brother; Burlie Higginbotham (Gracie), one sister; Violet Easter, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sons; Lonnie Higginbotham Jr. and Garry Wheetley, one brother; Ed Higginbotham.
