Edith Woolsey Nalls went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia at the age of 96.
She was born on October 25, 1915 to Michael and Elizabeth Woolsey.
Edith was a charter member of the First Assembly of God Church in Magnolia and was known by everyone as being a prayer warrior. She loved doing for others and praying for them in their time of need.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Alma Nalls; son, James Nalls Jr.; daughter, Carolyn Branch; grandson, Daren Chambers; great grandson, Colton Mackay; and six siblings.
Survivors are her son, Kennith (Lynda) Nalls of Hot Springs; daughter, Gwen Chambers of Hot Springs; daughter-in-law, Harla Nalls of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Lisa Coke of Magnolia, Tanya Fowler of Texarkana, Melanie Gillum of Palestine, Texas, Robin McAdams of Henderson, Texas, Kristy Garcia of McKinney, Texas, Kim Nalls of Hot Springs, Kelley Mackay of McKinney, Texas, and Dodd Chambers of Tacoma, Washington; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a brother, Mike Woolsey of Fort Worth, Texas; and a sister, Naomi of Fort Worth.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday, September 8 at Lewis Chapel with funeral service following at 2 p.m. with Tom Miller officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Rick Muncrief, Ricky Nalls, Ricky Miller and Brian Mackay.
The family thanks Dr. Rodney Griffin, the nurses and staff of Magnolia Regional Medical Center and her special friend, Marilyn Lewis, for their amazing compassion and attention to our mom in her last days.
