Anne M. Daniels, 86, of McNeil, Arkansas died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born April 17, 1925 in Waldo, Arkansas to the late Samuel Chester O’Dell and Cletis Marie (Gibbs) Cottrell.
Anne was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in McNeil, where she taught Children’s Sunday school and Girl’s Missionary Auxiliary for many years. She was actively involved in Parent-Teacher Association while her children were in public school. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading and going camping with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved grandparents who raised her.
Survivors are her husband, Tully Daniels of McNeil; son, Marlin Daniels and wife Connie of El Dorado; daughter, Cheryl Hart and husband Wendall of the Mt. Vernon Community; grandsons, Matthew Daniels and fiance Lauren Derryberry of El Dorado and Devin Sumner of Conway; granddaughters, Megan Daniels and fiance Jayme Ryan of Conway and Wendi S. Brodnax of Arkadelphia; five great grandchildren; and special pet, Sam.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, August 12th from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home. A private family graveside will be held at a later time.
