Jack Dimple Talley, age 81 of Ward, formerly of Pangburn, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Searcy. He was born Monday, April 28, 1930 at Steprock, Arkansas to Arch Talley and Myrtle Bowers Talley. He was a member of The Assembly of God Church in Pangburn, and had retired from working as a farmer, rural letter carrier and pipeliner, and was a 50 year Mason and a lifetime member. He is survived by three sons, Barry Talley and wife Jenny, Ted Talley and Don McCord and wife Gail; three daughters, Sandra Squires and husband Jim, Shelia Purdy and husband George, and Jacquelyn Wilkerson and husband Patrick; two sisters, Martha Galloway, and Peggy Glenn and husband Milton; 22 grandchildren, Len & Marquitta Poe, Cyanne & William Hammill, Todd & Tina Stephens, Steve & Jennifer Squires, Susie & Charles Stroud, Bryan & Amber Purdy, Brandy Purdy, Anne & Jessie Pate, Amanda & Matt Welch, Taylor & Nick Rew, Tanner Beam, Candace Freeling, Tiffany & Jonathan Hale, John Wilkerson, Kayla Wilkerson, Katie Wilkerson, Leslie & Kevin Wolf, Latisha Talley, Shannon Talley, Carmen Harris, Mickel & Stacy McCord, and Cindy Jackson; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melba Jean King Talley; two brothers, Bruce Talley and John Paul Talley; and four sisters, Louise Brown, Francine Martin, Alma Vaughan and Bonnie Talley. Visitation is Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral home in Searcy. Funeral services are Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Pangburn with interment to follow at Henderson Cemetery. The family has asked that any memorials be made to the Assembly of God Church in Pangburn.
