Bertha Doss McCourt (8-17-1892 to 1-4-1972) was born between Sidon and Rose Bud, the daughter of the late Richard Clinton and Magdalene (Maggie) "Joyce" Doss. (County records list Magdalene as Margaret Joyce)
Married: Eugene McCourt (7-20-1891 to 11-27-1961) was born in Pangburn two hundred yards north of the city limits and about a hundred yards west of the Hiram Road.
They had eight children. Four died young and the rest are Cecil,Carl Ray, Robert Clinton "RC" and sister Bonnie Jean.
