James Thurston Glenn the son of Albert Jefferson and Bertha Mae VanPatten Glenn was born in Pangburn, Arkansas on June 6, 1927 and passed away at Golden Living in Heber Springs on June 2, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Mr. Glenn was retired from yard maintenance and was a member of the Methodist Church. He had lived in Heber Springs since 1965 and had lived prior in White County. He was a member of the teamsters union and he enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife Ilene Virginia (Smith) Glenn, a son Samuel T. Glenn and his wife Bonnie of Pangburn and a daughter Joan Ilene Cummings of Heber Springs and a granddaughter Angela Glenn. Mr. Glenn is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

A visitation was held at Olmstead Funeral Home on Sunday, June 3, 2007 and funeral services were held graveside at Henderson Cemetery on Monday June 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM by Rev. Benny Foster. Pallbearers were Richard McDougal, Kenneth McDougal, Joe McDougal, Steve McDougal, Rickey McDougal and Kenneth Strickland. Ilene Virginia Glenn, age 71, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 7, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Heber Springs. Born in Big Flat, Arkansas, on August 15, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Henry Franklin and Clydie Luella (Stevens) Smith.

Mrs. Glenn was a realtor and a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Her husband, James Thurston Glenn, preceded her in death on June 2 of this year. Mrs. Glenn was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Betty Smith.

She is survived by one son, Samuel T. Glenn and his wife, Bonnie, of Pangburn; one daughter, Joan Ilene Cummings of Heber Springs; one brother, David Smith of Batesville; four sisters, Imogene McDougal of Wilburn, Flo McDougal and Joyce Smith, both of Pleasant Plains, and Rosemary Floyd of Batesville; and one granddaughter, Angela Glenn. Mrs. Glenn is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
