Raymond Rains age 84 years, the oldest living native of Pangburn, Arkansas passed away at his home on Friday, April 2, 2004. Born May 14, 1919 at Pangburn, Arkansas, the son of the late James Rains and May Reed Rains. He was a Methodist by faith and a retired carpenter. Raymond enjoyed photography and writing. He is survived by his wife Geraldean Violet Smith Rains and his children, son Dan Rains and a daughter Barbara Rains Doyle of Pangburn, Arkansas. He is also survived by three grandchildren and three great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Violet Geraldine Rains, of Pangburn passed away August 8, 2020. Violet was born January 21, 1924.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Nettie Smith; her husband, Ray Rains; and one brother, Dan Smith Jr.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dan Rains; her daughter, Barbara Doyle, and husband Gary; one sister, Jeannie George; three grandchildren, Torrie Cook, Ronnie Doyle, and Greg Doyle; and three great grandchildren, R.J. Doyle, Mathew Doyle, and Mason Doyle.
